How To Remove the Pores On Your Face at Your Own Home With Natural and Homemade Remedies

People with oily skin have large pores and they would do anything to reduce them or make them less visible. There are many products on the market that guarantee to help you reduce your pores and tighten your skin but our advice is to try and treat your pores the natural way.

Here’s how to eliminate those nasty pores at your own home using these homemade remedies:

Water and Baking Soda

  • 2 tbsp. baking soda
  • 2 tbsp. water

Mix the water and baking soda until you get a paste. Apply the paste on your face and let it dry for 15-20 minutes. Wash your face with cool water.

Rose Water, Cucumber and Lemon

Peel one cucumber and crush its flesh. Add 1 tbsp. rose water and a few drops of lemon juice. Place the mixture into a clean cloth and apply it on your face. Wash your face with cool water afterwards.

Egg White and Lemon Juice

  • A few drops of lemon juice
  • 2 egg whites

Mix the two ingredients. Apply the mixture on your face and leave it to dry. Wash your face with cold water afterwards.

Lime and Tomato Juice

  • 2-4 drops lime juice
  • Just a bit tomato juice

Mix the ingredients. Dip a cotton ball into the mixture and apply it on your face. Leave the mixture on for 15 minutes and then wash your face with cold water.

Almond and Lime Juice

  • A few almonds
  • 1 tbsp. lemon juice

Place the almonds in a small container and add some water. Let them soak overnight. In the morning, mash the soaked almonds. Once you get an almond paste, add the lime juice and mix. Apply the mixture on your face. Leave the mask on for 30 minutes and then wash with cold water.

Consider using honey to clean your face

Honey is a natural exfoliant, so it helps get rid of dead skin cells without the harsh, abrasiveness of salt and sugar scrubs. It also makes a great moisturizer, and leaves your face feeling soft and smooth. Lastly, honey is also a natural antiseptic. This means that it not only helps remove toxins from your skin, but it also helps kill any acne-causing bacteria.

Use a gentle cleanser to wash your face

A good facial starts with a fresh, clean face, so use your favorite cleanser to gently wash away makeup, dirt and sweat before you begin. Wet your face with warm water, apply the cleanser using a gentle circular motion, and rinse your face with warm water when you’re finished.

Exfoliate with a homemade scrub

The hallmark of a great facial is bright, refreshed looking skin. Exfoliating is a very important part of the process. Apply your scrub using a gentle circular motion to slough away the dead skin and reveal fresh skin underneath. You can make your own scrub at home using all natural products you probably already have in your kitchen.

Steam your face

This opens your pores to allow impurities to come out. It will leave your face with a flushed, healthy feeling, making it an essential step in any facial. Place a small pot of water on the stove and bring it to a simmer. Drape a towel over your head and place your face over the pot, so that the steam hits your face. Keep steaming for face for 3 to 5 minutes, then turn off the heat.

Make a facial mask

A facial mask draws impurities from your pores and brings out the very best in your skin. There are many store-bought masks to choose from, a homemade mask will be just as effective, if not more. Plus, you can tailor it to the needs of your skin type.

Moisturize your face

Use your favorite store-bought moisturizer or make your own to finish up your facial. Moisturizer will keep your skin from drying out, making the effects of your facial last as long as possible.

Determine your skin type

In order to have a healthy face, you’ll need to understand what makes your face unhealthy. Human skin falls into four types: “normal”, oily, dry, and combination. Your face may fall into one or several of these categories, and different parts of your face may be more dry, healthy, or greasy than others.

Combine treatments for a “combination” skin type

When your skin is oily, try to keep the grease down and use acne creams. When your skin is dry, gently moisturize it. When your skin is healthy, continue to wash it frequently to maintain the balance.
