How To Use Homemade Anti-Aging Cucumber Mask

Cucumber masks are great for aging skin. Cucumbers are amazing for your skin since they keep your skin nourished and hydrated. They are also great for sunburn and acne-prone skin.

Cucumbers contain compounds that rejuvenate the skin and strengthen the connective tissue that combats wrinkles and help maintain skin elasticity. This veggie is rich in antioxidants and vitamin C that can make your skin clear, young-looking and glowing. Not to forget that cucumber is also great for the dark circles under your eyes.

Here’s what you’ll need to prepare your homemade anti-aging cucumber mask:

  • ½ cucumber
  • 2 tbsp. Aloe Vera gel
  • ½ tbsp. freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • ½ tbsp. rose water

Peel the cucumber and chop it. Place the chopped cucumber in a blender. Add the Aloe Vera gel, lemon juice and rose water. Blend until all ingredients are combined.

Wash and dry your face and neck. Apply the mask and leave it on for 20 minutes. Rinse the mask off and splash some cold water in your face.

Benefits of Cucumber in Skincare:

  • help fade dark spots!
  • are packed with antioxidants!
  • reduce puffiness!
  • help repair scarring!
  • soothe sunburns!
  • tighten pores!
  • soften skin!

Clearly cucumbers are valuable ingredients to any skincare routine. Since I had such nice cucumbers fresh from the garden, I was excited to put those benefits to the test by making my own DIY Cucumber Face Mask!

Here’s what you’ll need to prepare your homemade anti-aging cucumber mask:

  • 3 inch section of a medium to large cucumber
  • 1 tablespoon greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon aloe
  • 2 tablespoons oats

Pulse all ingredients in a food processor until the desired consistency is reached. Then add the oats and gave a quick stir.

Apply to a clean face and let sit for 20-30 minutes. You can really pile this stuff on more than I did, but I needed to be vertical for the sake of photos so I couldn’t add more without it falling off. This definitely is a messy mask, so do it with a towel handy.
